Accredited Visitor Information Centres

Locate all 400+ Accredited Visitor Information Centres (AVICs) across the country. Find GPS directions to your nearest AVIC and view individual AVIC profiles for more information. View over 50 premium AVIC profiles hosting a range of valuable local information including AVIC services, local attractions, local events, accommodation and bookings. Access sensory audio guides from 30 AVICs in Queensland to hear local travel information, and understand what services are available for travellers with access needs.

Stopping by an AVIC can enhance your travel experience by providing you with a warm, local welcome, and unbiased information to help you explore new regions in full.

Accessible Travel

Accredited Visitor Information Centres (AVICs) are welcoming and inclusive environments that serve as a free, creditable source of information designed to be accessed by all. Know what accessibility information is available at different AVICs, what facilities AVICs have available, and be introduced to local experiences that cater to different access needs.

Spread across the state, 30 Queensland AVICs are currently producing their own Vacayit sensory audio guide which provides an informative introduction to the AVIC and region. Audio Guides can be accessed on individual AVIC profiles on the app.

Travel Points of Interest

Find over 50,000 travel points of interest (POIs) across the country ensuring all your road trip needs are covered. POIs can be filtered through the left hand menu, and found on the google map home screen or searched via name. Clicking on a POI will present the POI’s profile, providing further information. POIs are drawn from reputable tourism databases, private partnerships, AVICs and crowd sourced. Please note, POI profile information varies depending on the POI’s listing level.

Bookings

Book accommodation and experiences via the app through Accredited Visitor Information Centre (AVIC) premium profiles and points of interest (POIs). Look out for the tick box on a POI and once you’ve tapped on the listing, you’ll find a ‘Check Availability’ or ‘Book Now’ button.

All bookings are processed through Bookeasy and will take users to a separate booking webpage from the app.
